Finally, Super Bowl XLVI is this weekend. Just in case your plans fell through, or you’re still not sure where you’re going, here are some of our picks around the city, as well as some very helpful establishments offering to-go options.
GOING OUT
You’re going to want to conserve your energy for this one: the Super Bowl XLVI Viewing Party at Rockit Bar & Grill (22 W. Hubbard), complete with fourteen giant, flat-screen TVs; live entertainment at halftime by DJ Reach; and a post-game celebration at The Underground.
In addition to an extensive menu for the day, the folks at Burger Bar Chicago (1578 N. Clybourn Ave.) have also created the Tailgate Burger (which conveniently comes with its own biopic), a bratwurst burger with Bavarian kraut, gruyere, Goose Island Mild Winter steamed Cheboygan brat.

If you’re looking for a step up from your usual sports bar digs, check out Chicago Cut Steakhouse (300 N. LaSalle Street), where they’ll be offering a decadent 4-course menu/wine pairing ($90 per person). Throw in an 8-foot screen, the Chicago skyline, and you can see why reservations are required.
And if you’re really looking to step it up/outshine all future Super Bowls, how about the Super Bowl Viewing Party at Public? We’ll cut to the chase on the price for this one—it’s $10,000. Unlimited beer and bottle service, a one-day-only menu developed for you and your 49 guests, and the perfection that is Public’s Screening Room and its 110-inch screen.

STAYING IN
Then again, if you’re like a lot of us, leaving the house isn’t an option. After all, this is the moment of glory you and your new wall-dominating flat-screen have been waiting for. That being said, just because going out isn’t an option doesn’t mean you’re about to spend the day cooking.
Chicago q (1160 N. Dearborn) is offering a special takeout menu for the Super Bowl, complete with smoked dry-rubbed wings, their award-winning Kobe beef brisket chili, and hickory-smoked bacon sausage, to name just a few of their offerings.
Pick up food from Barn & Company
In addition to their game day specials at the restaurant (an extensive, 4-quarter, $30 meal), Barn & Company (950 W. Wrightwood) is offering their own to-go package for large parties (or small, very hungry parties, depending on how you look at it). $350 gets you 5 whole chickens, 10 slabs of ribs, 60 wings… you can read the rest here.
