Red Wing Shoes

Established: 1905  |  Country of Origin: USA

Red Wing Shoes was built on America’s great promise; if one worked hard enough, one could achieve anything. Charles Beckman, a Red Wing, Minnesota merchant was a big believer in this promise. From his main street shoe store, he saw firsthand the need for durable and comfortable boots. When he couldn’t find boots that met his needs he decided to make his own. So in 1905, he founded Red Wing Shoe Company. He soon began turning out 110 pairs per day as the word spread about the great quality he offered. For more than 100 years, Red Wing Shoe Company has been crafting purpose-built work footwear for specific jobs. From the factory floor to the construction site, from refineries to railroads, on oil rigs and docks, today’s modern craftsmen trust Red Wing to deliver premium quality work boots and shoes with the features, fit, and service required for their demanding jobs. Red Wing work boots are crafted with skill by people who take the time to make sure each pair lasts and protects – like the fine tools they are. Every product they make is manufactured under stringent Red Wing quality standards to withstand the toughest work environments. Today, a third generation of employees, in a factory just down the road from the original, continues the tradition by using the same craftsmanship and attention to detail. Triple-stitched seams, sturdy welt construction and rich leathers are signature elements of every Red Wing boot.
